Sulphate of Manganese

Sulphate of Manganese

Viridis Garden Sulphate of Manganese

Manganese sulphate 32% is a manganese fertilizer in the form of a sulphate (oxidized form of sulphur). Use this trace sulphate to prevent a shortage of manganese. Manganese (Mn) is indispensable in the process of photosynthesis, but it is also a building block of enzymes and an important basis for the formation of lignin. Lignin is a substance that gives strength to the cell walls of the plant.

Manganese defficiency is very common in gardens with very light soils or gardens with soils with a very high organic matter (black peaty soils).

Manganese is a micronutrient that is commonly deficient in soils with a pH level above 6.5. When your plants are lacking of this mineral, they exhibit visible symptoms. For example, beans and many cereal plants develop yellow or white areas between the veins of the leaves. To remedy this, you can apply manganese sulphate, which is one of the most common fertiliser sources of manganese.
